July 2 @ Mitchell 2
On Tuesday July 2, Goderich Grey Seahawks travelled to Mitchell. The Seahawks once again had a slow start with their offense and found themselves trailing 3-0 after three innings of play. The Seahawks bats exploded the next two innings and scored the maximum seven runs allowed in the fourth and fifth to give the team a 14-3 win.
The offense for our Seahawks came from Eric M with two singles, two doubles, two runs and three rbi, Michael with three singles, a double, two runs and three rbi, Eric V with four singles, two runs and an rbi, John and Zach each had three singles, two runs and an rbi. Daerien had two singles with two runs and two rbi, Graham had two singles with two rbi, Kaelan had a single with a run and an rbi and Jamie had a single with a run scored. The Seahawks were all on their toes on defense with a few great plays including a play on a hard hit ball by Daerien at second and a bases loaded triple play made in the bottom of the fourth by the Seahawks that stopped a potential Mitchell rally. Great game played by Goderich.
