July 11 versus Grand Bend
On Thursday July 11, Grand Bend came to play our Goderich Grey Seahawks. The Seahawks offense exploded for twelve runs in the first two innings to give them a 12-1 lead after two. Grand Bend's bats came alive in the last few innings and Goderich cooled down but were able to fend them off with a few good defensive plays and hold on for the 15-13 win.
The offense for our Seahawks came from Michael with two doubles, a single, five rbi and three runs, Eric M with two doubles, a single, three runs and an rbi, Eric V with two singles, a double, two rbi and a run. Kaelan had three singles, two runs and two rbi, Kieran had three singles with three runs scored, Daerien had three singles with an rbi and a run, Jamie also had three singles with an rbi. John added two singles with two rbi and a run scored, Zach had a single with an rbi and Owen also had a single with a run. The Seahawks made a few key plays throughout the game, including a game ending pop fly to the pitcher with runners on first and second and Grand Bend only down by two. Great game played by Goderich.
