July 19 @ Grand Bend
On Friday July 19, Goderich Grey Seahawks travelled to Grand Bend. After being shut down in the first inning, Goderich had their bats come alive the next two innings, but still found themselves down 13-10 after three innings. Unfortunately for the visiting Seahawks team, there was a very controversial ending to the game which forced the teams to end the game with the 13-10 score standing as the final.
The offense for our Seahawks came from Eric M with three doubles, two runs and two rbi, Jamie with three singles, Michael with two doubles, two runs and an rbi, Graham with a double, a single, two runs and an rbi, Kieran with two doubles and two runs scored, John with a double, a single, three rbi and two runs. Zach added two singles with two rbi and Owen also had two singles with an rbi. Even with the controversial ending that was handed to Goderich, the coaches are extremely proud of the team for keeping their heads high and not complaining or saying anything negative about the situation, that is how we represent our town and our team. Great work Seahawks, you have made everyone proud!
