June 2 @ St Marys
On Monday June 2, Goderich Black Seahawks travelled to St Marys. This game wasn't as exciting as their first two games as Goderich was handed their first fairly large loss of the season losing 19-6. Goderich stuck with them through the first two, then in the third St Marys scored seven runs and also added seven more in the seventh inning.
The offense for our Seahawks came from Kaelan with four singles and a run, Kael with three singles and two runs, Zach with three singles an rbi and a run, Mitchell with three singles and an rbi and John had three singles with a run scored. Owen S added in a single, double and a run. Iain and Aaron each had a single with an rbi while Owen D and Ty each added an rbi. Kellen also had a single.
Though the Seahawks weren't able to show as much offense as they have in the past, they played the game hard and never put their heads down. The players know that when you keep a smile on your face and don't give up, anything can happen. The coaches and players will chalk this one up as one of those games that just happen from time to time and you move on. Saturday Goderich travels back to St Marys again for what should be an entertaining game and day. Keep working hard and having fun Seahawks!
