June 7 @ St Marys
On Saturday June 7 Goderich traveled to St Marys one last time for the season to participate in a regular season game that was featured in the St Marys baseball day. Goderich was able to hold a small lead through the first two innings, however that lead would be taken away by the opposition in the third. Goderich's offensive woes continued as the game went on as they only manage to score 10 runs in this game. While their defense improved on their prior game, they still ended up losing 16-10 in a good game.
Leading the offense for the Seahawks was John with three singles, a double and five rbi, Kaelan with four singles and a run and Kellen had three singles with two rbi and a run. Iain had two singles, a double, two rbi and a run, Mitchell had three singles an rbi and a run, while Camron added two singles, a double and a run scored. Owen D had two singles and three runs scored and Aaron added in two singles. Kael had a double and scored a run and Ty added a single. Graham also scored a run.
The team played well this game and battled hard throughout the game. It was a beautiful day for baseball and the boys did a great job representing Goderich during Baseball Day in St Marys.
Honourable Mentions go to two Seahawks who were able to win their respective Skills Competition; Kaelan won the batting skills challenge and Owen D won the throwing skills challenge. Congratulations boys!
