June 10 vs St Marys
On Tuesday June 10 Goderich hosted St Marys for their fourth straight game with each other. Just like the first time these teams met in Goderich, the fans were treated to a very high scoring, close game. The Seahawks would find themselves down early in the game, however they were able to claw away in the middle innings to keep it within reach. In the end it would not be quite enough though as St Marys left town with the 23-21 victory.
Goderich's offense came from Owen S with two singles, two doubles, five rbi and two runs scored and Kellen had four singles with two runs and an rbi. Kael had two singles, a double, four rbi and three runs, Iain had two singles, a double, two rbi and three runs, John and Mitchell each had three singles with two runs and an rbi and Aaron had three singles with two rbi. Graham had two doubles with two runs and two rbi, Owen D had two singles with two runs and an rbi, Camron had two singles with two rbi and a run and Kaelan had two singles with two runs scored. Zach and Ty each added a hit.
This game had moments when the team looked like they had their backs against the wall, but they battled back hard and never gave up. This is the kind of game that makes the team better and shows them what they are capable of doing. With a little more work on defense as the days go by, this team will be a strong force with an offense like this. Great job Seahawks.
