U14 Fastball Seahawks Hit The Road
The Culbert Surveying Peewee Seahawk girls travelled to Sebringville on Thursday, June 23 without five of their regular players necessitating the Coaching Staff to use June call ups Janelle D and Marley F from the U12 Squirt team.

These two players did not disappoint in their debut as the pair combined to score two runs in six plate appearances. Janelle D forced two free passes while Marley F walked once, and, delivered a key right side RBI ground ball late in the game.
Walton's Allison S was given the start for the Surveyors. The tenacious lefty battled hard all game scattering four hits while striking out seven Sting batters in earning the complete game 16-9 victory.
Jaime N, Katie R, and, Megan K combined to provide a formidable middle of the order contributing ten RBI's. The Brussels native, Jaime N, had an outstanding game going 4 for 4 with five RBI's including a three run home run.
Bella M scored three times in the contest, and, Emily H led off the fifth inning with a solis single to left field to ignite a Seahawk five run explosion.
On the defensive side of the diamond, Jordyn H did some excellent work behind the plate for four innings. In the final inning while playing centre field, she expertly snagged a fly ball, and, proceeded to easily double up the unsuspecting Sting runner at second base. The quiet leader also went 2 for 3 at the plate to round out a very complete effort.
Jamie A had a tremendous game for the visitors playing in five different positions throughout the evening including all four infield positions. By far the youngest player in the league, Jamie also contributed with a single, and, a deep fly ball to left forcing the fielder to make a nice catch.
The U14's next action will see them take their 4-2 Huron Perth League record to Teddy's Field in St. Mary's on June 30 where they will attempt to continue their fireworks just prior to Canada Day. First pitch in Stonetown is scheduled for 6:30pm.
