Peewee Girls Extremely Good In Exeter
That little gem of a fastball diamond that is the "Home of Extreme Girls Fastball" program was the setting on July 5th as the Culbert Surveying Seahawks were the visitors hoping to improve upon their Huron Perth Fastball League record.
Payton S was given the start on the hill for the Seahawks Allison S behind the plate to complete the battery. Payton had an impressive outing taking advantage of some great Team defence in going five strong innings to pick up the win as the home Extreme could only manage three hits while only drawing 2 walks.
The 12-6 final score was a little misleading as this contest was a very close 4-1 heading into the fifth inning due to a fantastic defensive effort from the entire Seahawk team. Jordyn H, Megan K, Jamie A, and, Jaime N gave an outstanding effort on the diamond to set a high standard for their team mates.
Offensively, Myea F narrowly missed hitting a ball over the centre field fence settling for a triple to add to her impressive 3 for 4 evening. Katie R did some great work in the lead off spot reaching base in all four of her plate appearances. Zoe M continued to impress with two solid hits. Ava F, and, Emily H both had a key hit during this game giving their team an offensive boost in during this game to help Goderich cruise on home with a 6-2 H.P.F.L. record.

Be sure to come on out to Ag Park on Sunday evening where the Surveyors will be hosting Sebringville and St. Mary's in a twin bill immediately following the Zehrs Markets Squirt game. The U12's will host Mitchell at 4:30 pm followed by peewee games at 6:45 and 8:30.
