May 27 vs St Marys
On Tuesday May 27, Goderich Black Seahawks played their first home game of the season hosting St Marys.  Goderich once again came out strong and had a 7-3 lead after the first, however that quickly changed in this sea-saw battle with the visitors leading 8-7 after two.  In the third Goderich was able to regain the lead and hold it through the fourth inning with the score being 14-11.

This lead however would be forcefully overcome with St Marys scoring a combined 13 runs in the fifth and sixth innings to give them a 24-18 lead heading into the seventh and final inning.  Goderich was able to do their part defensively in the seventh holding the visiting team off the scoreboard and giving them a chance to give the home crowd some excitement with a late game comeback...This however would not be the case as the Seahawks would wind up plating only three more runs in the inning and falling just short of completing the comeback with the final score being 24-21.

The offense for our Seahawks came from Graham with three doubles, a single, six rbi and three runs scored, Kaelan with three singles, a double, four runs scored and two rbi, Camron had four singles, two runs and an rbi.  Owen S had two doubles, a triple, two runs and two rbi, Mitchell had two singles, a double, three runs scored and two rbi, John had two singles and a double with two runs scored, Zach added three singles with two runs scored and an rbi, while Kellen had three singles and two rbi.  Aaron had a double, single, two runs and two rbi, and Iain had two singles with two rbi.  Owen D had a single with an rbi and Kael added in a single with a run scored.

The Seahawks really displayed the potent offensive capabilities the coaches knew they had this game and it will only get greater game by game with hard work.  Keep plugging away with the hits and runs and throw in some solid defensive play and this Goderich team will have a fun and great season.  Great work once again Seahawks.

GO SEAHAWKS!!
