May 30 versus Ilderton 1
On Thursday May 30, Goderich Grey Seahawks played hosts to Ilderton 1. After finding themselves down 4-0 after the first and 5-3 after the second, the Grey Seahawks exploded in the third and fourth innings to go on to ride out a 16-9 win.
Leading the way on offense was Eric M with two doubles, a single, two runs and five rbi, Michael with two doubles, a single, a run and five rbi, Daerien and Owen each with three singles, three runs and two rbi, Jamie, John and Zach each had two singles and two runs, Millar had a single with a run and Kaelan and Graham each had two hits and an rbi, Eric V also added a single. The team made some heads up base running on a few occasions, while defensively the coaching staff saw many fine plays by Goderich. The team is playing well together and developing more skills game by game.
