U14 Girls Sweep Doubleheader
Staying focused for a doubleheader is challenging enough at any level. To be able to beat two separate teams in back to back games is a huge accomplishment.

On Sunday, July 10th, the Culbert Surveying Peewee girls accomplished this difficult feat at Ag Park versus Sebringville and St. Mary's to improve their Huron Perth Fastball League record to a well earned 8-2 putting a lot of pressure on Mitchell and North Middlesex to keep pace with our local Seahawks.
SEAHAWKS 13 VS. SEBRINGVILLE 12
Game one saw the Seahawks powered by the big bats of Emily H and Jaime N as they contributed three RBI's apiece. Megan K and Zoe M did a fantastic job setting the table at the top of the batting order collecting two hits each, and, scoring five times during the game.
The Team defence was outstanding providing Goderich starter, Myea F, a ton of support as she navigated her way through the pesky Sting line up en route to a complete game victory. Bella M turned some heads on the right side of the diamond when she totally stole a sure base hit from the visitors by snaring a tough line drive in the hole between first and second. This game was not without late heroics as the visiting Sting did not quit, and, roared back to tie the game heading into the Seahawk final at bat. Jamie A led off with a walk, and, proceeded to steal her way across the plate for the game winning run.
SEAHAWKS 13 VS. ST. MARY'S 8
In the night cap, Allison S took the mound with Ava F working hard behind the plate. The Walton lefty put in a fine performance on the mound for the Surveyors striking out nine St. Mary's hitters to grab the complete game victory. In the top of the second with the visitors up 2-0, and, the bases loaded, Bella M helped her Team by easily catching a high fly ball in right field before throwing behind the runner at first for the huge momentum double play.
The big hits in this contest came from Jordyn H and Katie R. The two locals cleared the bases with triples to energize their Team, and, wow the crowd.

The Surveyors have no time to sit back as they host the Fullarton A's tonight at Ag Park. First pitch is slated for 6:45 pm. Be sure to get out to the ball park to support this exciting fastball team!!
